Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 July 2026 • Version: 1.0
The French version of this document prevails in case of discrepancy.
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of the Secure Layer platform, published by Secure Layer SASU (see the Legal Notice). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
2. The service
Secure Layer is a SaaS platform for visual AWS infrastructure design and advisory security analysis, with infrastructure-as-code export.
3. Nature of security findings
Informational, not a guarantee
Security scores and findings (e.g. "Grade", "resources passing") are automated, advisory and limited in coverage. They do not guarantee the security or compliance of your infrastructure and are not a substitute for professional security review.
You remain solely responsible for the configuration and security of your own systems.
4. Warranties
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Account and eligibility
You are responsible for your credentials and account activity. The service is intended for professional use and not for anyone under 15.
6. Subscriptions, pricing, billing
- Free, Startup and Enterprise plans; prices and quotas shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
- Billed monthly or annually in advance via our processor, Stripe.
- Auto-renews each period unless cancelled.
- Prices are exclusive of VAT; VAT for your country is added at checkout. For consumers, the all-taxes-included price is shown on the pricing page and before order confirmation.
7. Right of withdrawal
Consumers: you normally have a 14-day withdrawal period. By requesting immediate access to the digital service and expressly acknowledging this at checkout, you agree performance begins immediately and you waive the right once the service is fully supplied.
Businesses (B2B): the right of withdrawal does not apply.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and your account then reverts to the free plan. No pro-rata refund for started periods, save mandatory law.
9. Availability
We aim for good availability but provide no service-level agreement (SLA) or guarantee of uninterrupted access.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim; we are not liable for indirect damages (data loss, lost revenue, reputational harm, penalties).
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Indemnification
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
12. IP and your content
You keep ownership of your projects and diagrams; you grant us a limited license to host and process them to provide the service. The platform and its components remain ours.
13. Acceptable use
- Only analyze, import or assess infrastructure you own or are authorized to manage.
- No unlawful use, no reverse engineering to build a competing service, no harm to the service or other users.
14. Personal data
Processing of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
16. Changes
We may amend these terms; material changes will be notified before they take effect.
17. Governing law and disputes
Governed by French law; exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
Mediation: under Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumers may refer any unresolved dispute free of charge to our designated consumer mediator, CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice), 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France:cm2c.netor cm2c@cm2c.net, after first submitting a written complaint to Secure Layer (support@securelayer.dev).
